Strictly Come Dancing On Same-Sex Couples

Same-sex couples could compete on Strictly Come Dancing next year, BBC bosses have said.

The popular dancing show has repeatedly came under fire for it's reluctance to allow same-sex pairings and previously said there were no plans to change the mixed-sex format.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood has been outspoken about his desire to change the rules, and it seems the broadcaster has since had a recent change of heart as it hinted at future same-sex pairings.

"Bosses have said while there aren't any same-sex pairings in this series, they'd definitely be open to it, given the right combination of celebs and dancers," a source revealed.

"The show's always been inclusive and reflects modern Britain."

Recent years saw professionals perform group dance numbers that featured same-sex partners.
