Earlier this year, Chris – who rose to fame on this year's series of reality television show Love Island – revealed that he had received a number of "flirty" messages from Katie via social media.
She then hit back saying she had 52 screenshots of equally flirty responses from Chris, something he has denied.
The pair, as well as Hughes' girlfriend Olivia have been involved in a bitter war of words in the media ever since, but all three attended the ITV Gala on Thursday night. While they were not spotted together, Price was later seen leaving the event with her phone in her hand. On the screen of her phone were messages, which allege to be from Chris,
It appears to read: "Oh no why are you having a hard time are you OK anything I can help with xx."
"Just personal stuff xx Something I don't want to bother you," the message, which was sent by the username Chris Hughes, said.
Katie replied: "Stuff with work? Olivia? I'm good at giving advice."
Chris, who has said it is somebody pretending to be him, then wrote: "Olivia just loves all the media attention and me personally hate it sometimes it's too much."
Those involved in the fallout are yet to officially claim on the latest reports.
