The former Girls Aloud singer took to Instagram on Thursday to share an image that simply read "love hurts". Alongside the image was an emoji of a broken heart.
In a comment to one of her Instagram followers, the 35-year-old further fuelled speculation that the couple were no longer together when she called herself Johnson's "soon to be ex".
In a conversation with someone who claimed to be Chad's neighbour in the US where he lives, Sarah wrote: "Looks aren't everything hun, believe me", to which the woman replied: "I'm his neighbour."
This led the singer to respond: "I'm his girlfriend, or soon to be ex lol so cheers for clarifying."
When another follower asked: "Why is it soon to be ex?", Harding wrote: "Go figure."
Sarah and Chad started a relationship earlier this year when they both appeared on the last series of Celebrity Big Brother. After leaving the show, the pair hinted that they were dating, but Chad later returned to California alone, leading many to speculate that the couple's romance was short-lived.
