Stephen Belafonte Files Divorce Papers

Stephen Belafonte has filed divorce papers in response to estranged wife Mel B.

Earlier this week, the former Spice Girl was granted a restraining order against her former husband following allegations that he had physically and emotionally abused her throughout their 10-year marriage.


Belafonte has denied the claims, and has since filed his response to Mel B's divorce petition.

It is understood he is asking for spousal support from his wife, and that she pay his lawyer's fees.

Both parties have also requested joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Madison, who is five. Mel is also a mother to three children from previous relationships.
