Sam Faiers has revealed she is five months pregnant.
The former TOWIE star announced her pregnancy last month, but did not say how far along she was at the time.
Now, speaking to OK! magazine, the 24-year-old has opened up about becoming a first-time mother, and the future for her and her boyfriend Paul Knightley.
"We were both really excited and happy," she said of the pregnancy news. "It was like a nervous excitement and a shock – it took a while for it to sink in.
"It was something that we wanted, yes," she added.
Her partner also said: "We spoke about it for a quite a bit and then it just happened. It was instant."
"I hate the 'trying'. It wasn't like, 'Right, let's try now.' And then obviously it just happened. I suppose we were lucky. We just didn't think it would happen that fast," Faiers continued.
Faiers and Knightley, 26, have been in a relationship for just 10 months, having met at a bar in Essex on a night out. While the pair are now concentrating on becoming first-time parents, they have said they do plan to tie the knot in the future, but insist they are in no rush to do so.
"I don't want Paul to feel under pressure to propose just because I'm expecting – but we will get married," Faiers said.
