Man 'Set Fire To Wife's Clothes'

A man has been given a community order and restraining order after pleading guilty to setting his wife's clothes on fire after he discovered she had been unfaithful.

According to reports, David Honeybell, 49 and who is from Nottingham, also uploaded "revenge porn" images of his wife to Facebook.

He was not charged with a revenge porn offence, but he was charged with arson for burning her clothes, as well as harassment after he sent her a number of abusive text messages, phone calls and voice mails. The restraining order and community order both apply for a year.

Appearing at Nottingham Magistrates' Court, he said he was "upset and sorry" for setting fire to the clothes and the harassment. The photographs were not mentioned at his sentencing, the BBC has reported.

Mr Honeybell had been married to his wife, Sarah, for 23 years but they are now divorcing.
