Transport Company Unveils 'Love Train' Plans

Prague has unveiled plans to create a singles-only 'love carriage' on its underground trains.

According to Digital Spy, the idea aims to encourage commuters to use public transport, and therefore allow more people to find love in an unconventional way.

The capital's transport company is now deciding how many carriages should be involved in the initiative.

Filip Drapal, spokesman for the firm, told AFP: "People meet there, pass by each other, and if they like one another they can start a relationship.

"We do not know yet whether the dating car will be the last carriage on each train, and whether it will work [for a] day, a week, or one an hour."

Mr Drapal added that none of its customers will be forced to flirt with their fellow passengers, however, there are some who are concerned about the idea.

Newspaper Tyden carried out an online survey regarding the 'love trains' and found that the residents of the Czech Republic's capital were divided over the scheme, with 46% agreeing with the plan, and a further 46% describing the new system as "absolute nonsense".
