Bride Sold House To Pay For Wedding Surgery

A woman from Lincolnshire was so determined to have the perfect figure for her wedding day, that she sold her house to pay for the cost of surgery.

According to The Sun, Tsia Miller decided to take drastic action on having a new body when her boyfriend, Alastair proposed.

At the time of the proposal, Ms Miller weighed 18 stone and wore a dress size 18 but insisted she wouldn't walk down the aisle in a plus-size gown.

With no savings, she made the decision to sell her house in order to fund the £22k worth of cosmetic surgery that would transform her into the size 12 bride she wanted to be.

She explained: "When Alastair proposed, I had an awful vision of myself as a bulging bride — and something snapped inside me.

"I didn't want Alastair to have to marry me while I still looked like that. I wanted to be a beautiful bride but I just didn't see how that could happen in the state I was in.

"I was sick of feeling embarrassed by my appearance and wanted to look amazing on my wedding day.

"Once I started to research cosmetic surgery, I realised I would need a lot of money to fund it, so I took the plunge and sold my house."

After selling the property and paying the mortgage, Tsia moved in with her fiancé.

She had her first operation in Belgium in April 2006 which was gastric band surgery and saw the bride-to-be lose 10 stone by June 2008.

Then, over a number of subsequent visits to Belgium, she also had arm and thigh lifts, breast implants and liposuction.

Tsia, who went down to 8st, said: "When the weight started falling off I felt incredible and couldn’t wait to have the rest of the procedures. After every painful op, I told myself the end result would be worth the pain — and it was.

"I had never felt attractive before and I loved it. People who had known me for years could not recognise me. I’d sell my house a thousand times to have a body that makes me this happy — and I’m now ready to walk down the aisle."

The couple are due to tie the knot on 18 May this year – ten years after they first met.

The mother-of-one met Alastair in 2003, before he proposed in 2006. The couple have one child together, a son Mylo.
