Last week, it was announced that the couple had separated after five years of marriage.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the 22-year-old has since revealed that the pair split in late 2016, but she is finding it difficult to come to terms with their decision.
She told the publication: "I think both of us saw the warning signs for quite some time. Technically, we've been split for two-and-a-half to three months now. It's really recent and the emotions are still really raw.
"He's been my rock for me through so many things that I've been through. It's been interesting for sure."
Stodden and Hutchison, 56, tied the knot in 2011. They separated in 2013 only to reunite shortly afterwards. Last year, the couple confirmed that they were expecting their first child together, but not long after their announcement, Stodden revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage.
