According to the Metro, Kirsty Thomas, 25, was looking for a dress for her upcoming wedding and finally stumbled across the dress of her dreams. However, at the time, she was a size 16 and the dress only came in a size 8.
Deciding she couldn't let the dress pass her by, Ms Thomas decided to lose weight and get into shape.
She is quoted by the publication as saying: "I wanted a wedding album that I could be proud of and I knew the only way I was going to be able to achieve my goal was to fit into that dress."
In the space of nine months, she fell from a size 16 (15st 4lb), to a size 8 (9st 12lb), to wear her perfect dress.
Speaking of her achievement, she added: "My wedding day was the happiest of my life and I loved looking at the pictures afterwards."
